Welcome back to Random WTF Lyrics where I look at five random lyrics from five random songs. Let’s get started.
Don’t Call Me Angel-Ariana Grande, Lana Del Rey, & Miley Cyrus
The new Charlie’s Angels movie is one month away and the closer we get, the less excited I am for it. Now I mentioned this song back in one of my Trailer Talk posts and I said I wasn’t a fan. That hasn’t changed to this day.
I drop it down, I pick it up, I back it off the county line
Off the county line. That’s a hell of a distance. It speaks for what’s pretty much the gentrified version of Independent Women by Destiny’s Child. Why do I feel like this could be a metaphor for what the upcoming movie is going to be like?
The Candy Man-Sammy Davis Jr.
You can even eat the dishes
No, you can’t. You can’t. Dishes were not made to be eaten, they were made to place food on. Then again, this song was made for the soundtrack of Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory, so I wouldn’t be surprised if there were edible dishes in the Chocolate Factory.
Dirty White Boy-Foreigner
I'm a loner but I'm never alone
Alexa, look up the definition of “contradiction.”
Something In Your Mouth-Nickelback
'Cause you look so much cuter with something in your mouth
Whatever it is that you’re thinking, yes. Your first guess is 100% correct. This song is exactly about what you’re thinking. Considering that this came (poor choice of words) from Nickelback, no one should be surprised. And now you have the image of Chad Kroeger’s sausage inside of a woman’s mouth burned into your brain because I want to share my pain with others.
Twisted-French Montana ft A$AP Rocky, Juicy J, & Logic
In the latest episode of his podcast, Joe Budden called Logic one of the worst rappers to ever grace a microphone. I don’t agree with that statement since I believe there are FAR worse rappers out there, but Logic is starting to test our patience. For example, look at what he said on this new song with French Montana.
1-800, then I kill the pussy, who can relate?
You know? For as flawed as the 1-800 song was, there was good intentions behind it. Logic wanted to bring awareness to mental illness and suicide prevention. That’s an admirable sentiment that I can get behind. So for him to take that song and make a shitty sex punchline around it pretty much desecrates any good will from that song and makes him look like an insensitive jackass. Great job, Logic. You manage to find new ways of shooting yourself in the foot every single year.
And that was Random WTF Lyrics. No lyrics are safe.
